There are two methods of creating a transparent GIF.
- Save Object as Transparent GIF
This allows you to create non-rectangular images that can be included in a Web page.
Available when the current file is an image file in the image editor.- Select an Object in an image.
Or, use the Object sub menu on the File menu to load an object. - On the File menu, select Save Object as Transparent GIF.
- The Save As box is displayed.
- Type the file name.
- Click on the Save button.
The file is saved as a GIF file.
- Save Selected Area as Transparent GIF
This allows you to create non-rectangular images that can be included in your Web page.- Use one of the selection tools on the Area Toolbar to select the part of the image that you want to be included in the GIF.
- On the File menu, select Save Object as Transparent GIF.
- The Save As box is displayed.
- Type the file name.
- Click on the Save button.
The file is saved as a GIF file.
