There are two methods of creating a transparent GIF.

  1. Save Object as Transparent GIF
    This allows you to create non-rectangular images that can be included in a Web page. Available when the current file is an image file in the image editor.

    1. Select an Object in an image.
      Or, use the Object sub menu on the File menu to load an object.
    2. On the File menu, select Save Object as Transparent GIF.
    3. The Save As box is displayed.
    4. Type the file name.
    5. Click on the Save button.
      The file is saved as a GIF file.

  2. Save Selected Area as Transparent GIF
    This allows you to create non-rectangular images that can be included in your Web page.

    1. Use one of the selection tools on the Area Toolbar to select the part of the image that you want to be included in the GIF.
    2. On the File menu, select Save Object as Transparent GIF.
    3. The Save As box is displayed.
    4. Type the file name.
    5. Click on the Save button.
      The file is saved as a GIF file.
